Precious metals are only any good if they are in hand when you need them. This is not the time to be playing the market on anything.

I think you're taking commodities way too literally. I don't think the situation is as dire as needing gold bricks to trade for food and protection just yet.

And it totally is the time to be playing the market on everything. It's all on sale right now. That is, except precious metals and a few other choice financial apocalypse picks. The trick is to still have anything to buy with when the prices are so low. Like when gold was cheap and no one wanted to buy it. Now, you could sell it at a huge gain to jerkoffs who think they're going to be loading their shotguns any moment now, and you can put their money in to banks that will recover because they've seen this shit before and make a killing once they do.
