1. Gay Marriage - yes or no and why?
Why not? Of course. There is no reason any two people who love each other and want to commit to each other personally and romantically should not be able to legally, and thus be afforded all the rights and privileges appertaining thereto.
[I'll leave
2. Gun ownership for personal use - yes or no and why?
Yes, please -- responsible gun ownership, that is. Having it is not enough. If you own a gun and you have not taken the steps to make sure you understand everything involved in its proper and responsible use, you shouldn't own a gun. If your "personal use" is any reason other than for target shooting or hunting, i.e., if you have a firearm because of some notion you have for personal protection, and you are uncertain about your capability to shoot another human being in such a scenario, sell it and buy yourself a good alarm system.
[ditto.]
3. What color(s) are you wearing today?
Gunmetal, faded reddish, brown. [shorts, polo shirt, sandals, in that order]
4. What was your best ever dining out experience?
5. Your worst?
There have been a few times when I've walked out due to nonexistent service, but only one time when I almost died. That dubious distinction belongs to an order of chicken wings served by Hooters in Fairfax, VA, the weekend I drove down to visit
6. Recently, a school district was sued for having security cameras in locker rooms. Evidently, they had had incidents of violence and theft which lead to the decision to use the cameras. Still, the data from the (digital, not tape) cameras was accessed 98 times from the principal's computer via the internet, usually in the early morning or late night hours. Thoughts?
Why are the teachers not in the locker room watching to prevent these occurrences? Hasn't anyone read or watched Carrie? Never leave the locker room unsupervised.
[the aforementioned is yet another Suki Citation]
I think the principal needs to be asked about his browsing - if he was following up on reports of misbehavior, fine - that should be corroborated by the footage viewed. If it's merely purient browsing. . . dude, there's an entire fucking internet full of pr0n out there, you jackass.
7. Do you listen to the radio? If so when and what station(s)?
Not anymore. I've had broadcast radio on in my car for about fifteen minutes since I got ZIM. 90% of that has been NPR.
8. Tofu hot dogs, yes or no?
Crimes Against Nature. Heresy. Blasphemy. The Elder Gods Do Not Eat Tofu.
9. Last music video you recall watching from beginning to end?
Fantasia 2000, I think. I don't even know what channel MTV is anymore, and I couldn't tell you the last time VH1 showed a video, either.
10. Last magazine article you recall reading from beginning to end?
Assuming you mean a dead tree edition, whatever was in the June issue of MAXIM. July's is currently sitting unopened on our coffee table.
11. You are in a world renowned museum of art and history. Which collection to you head to first?
What am I doing in a musem that doesn't house dead critters or dead tech? Yes, I'm well aware this makes me an utter Philistine in the eyes of many, but history holds absolutely no intellectual and only minimal aesthetic appeal.
12. What is your favorite day of the year and why?
Halloween.
13. July 4th weekend plans?

If the original was a ten, I'd give it an eight.
