I'm not shy about being in some discomfort, either during or after a workout. I'm stubborn and not always going to take a hell of a lot of advice about pain management (I'm very much the "hot shower and ibuprofen" type for most things.
The fact that I more or less stoically suck shit up, intermingled with the occasional bout of bitching, as a standard M.O. for everything isn't exactly news.
That said, between rolling my ankle at softball last week (lightly strained lateral ligament in my left ankle, so it's a little stiff and tender) and doing a couple of articles on pain management, recovery, and exertion headaches, it looks like pain is the order of the day lately.
