digitaldiscipline: (Get Off My Lawn!)
This video is why rhetoric not backed up with a Louisville Slugger (at least) cannot make any sort of inroads with some of these dipshits.

I am a little surprised and a lot disappointed to have discovered that some folks I was tight with ten years ago are flagrantly anti-Obama, pro-Bush, even after the last eight years. In 2000, he had a good (if self-serving) reason for voting W: "He is going to be very good to the top 5% of wage earners, and I intend to be there."

Now? It's unconscionable. The average wage has dropped by about 4% over the last 10 years... and 2/3 of the gains in income have gone to the top 1% of wage earners. That last pair of statistics was gleaned from the FOX morning show I was subjected to yesterday morning. Even they can't hide that kind of elephant under the carpet.

it is shocking, isn't it? I hate finding out stuff like that about people. Its like finding out you've befriended someone who the pod people hollowed out on the inside while you weren't looking

Funny thing is that I make the kind of money that should have me thinking the W. way. Good thing I'm more evolved than that.

I don't think only one side of the aisle has been grazing from the trough. So bickering about which fat bloated pig is the better choice because it grunts a prettier picture out for you isn't really a road to solving the problem. Less fillings for the trough is. Meaning less power and money for the pigs to fight over.

Sorry, y2k, that wasn't meant as a reply directly to you. Hit the wrong button.
