This is why I give funny looks to anyone who calls me "strong." Here's what perspective looks like:

Brandon lifts in kilograms roughly what I can do in pounds.

Seven.
Hundred.
Fifty.
Pounds.
As he said, "This lift was about 315% of my bodyweight."
For comparison, today, I'm going to try and lift 215% of mine.
Also, B is way, way nicer and smarter than I am. Seriously. :-)

I'm on long slow distance stuff again today, but might just watch those vids again before I do my Starting Strength type workout on Friday...
Very cool....
BTW, I was going to suggest that you check out the Gulf Coast Crossfit gang for some form pointers etc. most of those guys are trained to teach the basic olympic lifts - taking an afternoon or two and a little $$ will go a long way in preventing injury and busting up strength plateus. Just a thought... since working with an RKC on a weekly basis, I've REALLY made some serious changes - there are intricacies of the form which can't be properly expressed via books, internet, DVD etc which can end up being crucial when you find yourself grappling with something extremely heavy.
