I'll defer to Bob on the subject of the ongoing clusterfuck in the GoM. I will, however, point out that TransOcean is probably thrilled that BP is wearing that huge KICK ME sign,

It is, again, that quadrennial event where I actually pay attention to two dozen guys doing a lousy job of mowing the lawn. This time, at least, it sounds like they're doing it surrounded by a giant swarm of bees. To the questioner who mentioned, "Would you want to see a ban on the fan traditions in your country?" I say, "We don't really have any, but if you want to do away with the advertizements that ring the field, knock yourselves out."

There really hasn't been a hell of a lot going on out my way. Getting back into working out. Working. Puttering around the house. Hoping the idiots across the street leave.

Sad part of this is, once again, Haliburton, who is neck deep in this s*** right along with BP and Transocean, is STILL going to get a pass from our government. BP made the "mistake" of putting on that Kick Me sign.
