[snitched from [livejournal.com profile] sukipot, as always on friday]

1. If your life were a movie, what would the title be?

Bit Rot

2. What songs would be on the soundtrack?

I wouldn't have a separate soundtrack - too many movies these days are simply 90 minute music videos ["2 Fast, 2 Furious," anyone?] - I blame the wild success of the soundtrack from The Crow for this trend.

However, if you'll reframe the question as "What songs would figure prominently in the movie?" that might result in some answers - Some Ministry [chunks of Psalm 69], some White/Rob Zombie, some FLA, some TMBG, and maybe, just to fuck with people, some Bon Jovi.

3. Would it be a live-action film or animated? Why?

My life is too boring to animate.

4. Casting: who would play you, members of your family, friends, etc?

Wallace Shawn would play my buddy Baal. He'd probably get to wear an awful toupee - Chris has unique-looking hair. Kinda like Butt-Head's, actually.

I'd lobby for Bruce Campbell to play me, but he's too tall. Heh. I'd probably end up with Matthew Broderick.

If Sean Connery could lose the accent and the beard, he could play my dad.

Alan Rickman would have cameo appearances as [livejournal.com profile] theonebob. ;-)

Gene Wilder, circa "Blazing Saddles," would be a perfect fit for Scary Dan from my college days.

Most of my friends & family don't really look like anyone famous.

5. Describe the movie preview/trailer.

Start with "Strange Days." Sprinkle liberally with "Office Space." You get to virtually experience a really boring person's life, doing nothing, electronically.

You know, kinda like reading my journal.

heh. i wasn't feeling too inspired.

On more creative days, i'd try to repopulate the cast of Married: With Children with known people, since I'm pretty much turning into the goffy al bundy *snerk*

I go back farther in searching for blame: Pretty in Pink.

but did movies become vehicles for their own soundtrack immediately after that, with the possible exception of "purple rain"?

[then again, i think i've only ever seen one john hughes movie [BC], so my take on 80's cinema is slightly not-normal]
