Thanks for the link ~ I actually did drown as a baby, and it was a silent affair. That article points out some things that of course make sense, but I do think a lot of people are conditioned to think there would be lots of screaming and flailing about when that's just not usually the case.
Thankfully I never had to do any true rescues as a lifeguard. (only practice/training) Though as a one-time certified Red Cross lifeguard trainer, I can second what's in this article.
