been a week of shitty workouts, other than a PR for situps on the CWC (results to be posted on d-d later), getting out to do The Long Walk in better weather, and doing a passel of weighted dips and chins yesterday.

getting stapled by weights that ought not to is annoying and disappointing.

"Stapled by weights"? What's this? I'm visualized failure, and then being trapped under the weight.

Not a great week for me either. Nature of the beast, I guess.

Yeah, that's basically it. "The weight is stapled to the floor (or you are stapled to the floor under it)."

Bench and squats, while not resulting in actual stapling, were curtailed at lower reps, sets, and weights than anticipated or desired.

I blame depression for a fair bit of this on my end; being unmotivated doesn't make for strong lifting effort.
