The stuff of interest only to Florida voters. I haven't firmed up an opinion or position on all of them yet, because I need to do a bit more research.

Amendment 1- Repeal of public campaign financing requirement
Amendment 2- Homestead ad valorem tax credit for deployed military personnel
Amendment 4- Referenda required for adoption and amendment of local government comprehensive land use plans
Amendment 5- Standards for Legislature to follow in legislative redistricting
Amendment 6- Standards for Legislature to follow in legislative redistricting
Amendment 8– Revision of the class size requirements for public schools
Referendum on Deficit Spending
Ref 1: Voting "No." I am in favor of public funding of political campaigns to both level the playing field, and limit the influence peddling of corporations and/or wealthy individuals.
Ref 2: Voting "Yes." This is tantamount to a no-brainer.
Ref 4: Uncertain, leaning "No." On the one hand, I see the merit of keeping a lot of this stuff exposed to public scrutiny; on the other hand, I don't think the average citizen knows fuck-all about land use or development, and an ill-informed public is not something I'm a big fan of (see previous post). I don't think *I'm* qualified to weigh in on a lot of these referenda, and I'm pretty damn certain I'm smarter, or at least more informed than most folks.
Ref 5&6: Voting "Yes." Gerrymandering is one of the surest ways to piss me off, and anything that rolls this back and/or makes it harder (or impossible) gets my enthusiastic endorsement. Seriously... do elected people just have problems with rectangles and shit when they draw these things up?
