All indications are that users, important members of the internet community we all serve, are benefiting from the improved web navigation offered by Site Finder. - From a letter from Russel Lewis, VS's EVP/GM, to Paul Twoney, ICANN's Prez, after Twoney bitchslapped VS on behalf of the cognizant net population.

Let me tell you something, Lewis - I'm a user, and you know what benefit I'm seeing? Extra fucking spam, since the bogus return addresses are no longer showing up as such as often, and instead of being filtered out, end up in my mailbox. THANK YOU for helping spam proliferate, pigfucker.

I'm so terribly sorry that your monopoly wasn't making money as fast as it was during the .com boom and that it was necessary to further lower the bar as far as cluefulness required to set up ownership of a domain in order to keep profits up. I'm a fucking elitist technocrat - if you're not smart enough to do something, hire someone who is, or learn how to do it yourself.

wish we had Lewis' email and fax so the world could let him know we don't appreciate it

*snigger*

That's about 3 blocks from my house.

Good thing I'm not the Unabomber type.

On the plus side, they're across the street from a very-recently closed Superfund site (in buildings that formerly housed Netscape =/ ).
