digitaldiscipline: (new back)
Hey, it's been six weeks. Time to fire up the spreadsheet and take some grainy pictures!

As previously alluded to, I cook simply. This, for instance, was breakfast today: Hamburgers (ground beef w/ diced onion & seasonings) topped with finely-ground fresh salsa (White Diamond's "Hot," for the curious) sitting on some steamed broccoli, accompanied by a cup of tea with honey.

Action shot of dicing said onions, captured by [livejournal.com profile] cassandrasimplx via Skype. Included as the "non-posed" body shot. Hey, I'm not dissatisfied! That's vaguely remarkable. :-)

As for the posed ones, because I am a creature of rich dichotomies (or maybe I'm just too unrepentantly suburban white male American), I did yoga while drinking tea and grilling said hamburgers at nine in the morning. Also, [livejournal.com profile] cassandrasimplx thinks fit guys doing yoga is sexy, and I'm not a damn fool who would pass up an opportunity to let my girlfriend ogle me. ;-)

By the numbers, my waist (measured at the belly button) is down an inch, even though the scale hasn't changed. Legs are bigger, but my arms, when relaxed, are smaller (but bigger when flexed)... all signs, including the calipers, point towards less fat and more muscle, which is kind of the point of the exercise (*rimshot*).

TASTY!

Indeed. It's two pounds US Wellness Meats' 75% lean organic, grass-fed stuff with a couple of onions and something between a heaping teaspoon and a tablespoon of Montreal Steak Seasoning, along with a fair bit of garlic powder.

As mentioned elsewhere: GARLIC ALL THE THINGS!

What, no downward dog back shots? [grin]

Hah, no. I can hardly even get into d.dog. tight hips & hamstrings are the bane of my existence.

No downward dog torture back shots? [straightface]

Your request will be taken under advisement. I'm sure the photography department will feel oh-so-put-upon critiquing my form during the attempts I'm sure she'll insist on until I get it right. :-)

It's clear what we must do. The needs of the many outweigh the inexplicable preferences of the few*, or the tight hamstrings of the one.

* Because the inverse of rule 34 states that somewhere, someone doesn't want to see you in downward-facing dog, however inexplicable I might find that.

We can work on that. I can even say that with a straight face.
