This is possibly the rarest thing you'll ever see on my LJ: a post about baseball that's complimentary.

However, something fairly remarkable happened - Miguel Cabrera became the first guy in forty-five years (since Carl Yaztremski in 1967) to win the Triple Crown. That's pretty goddamned impressive - Babe Ruth never managed to do it.
