There are three kittens from the late september litter; they have proved elusive and difficult to photograph. At the left, with the white/calico-ish coloring, is Equinox; the dark tortoiseshell is Capricorn. They are both prone to diving under the porch whenever i get within about five feet of them, for now.

Magellan just walks his sassy ass right into the house when I get home from work. admittedly, this does make it extremely easy to dose him with flea control medication.

Of course he does. It's very difficult for him to spot your workouts from outside the window, you know. But did you think about that when you gave him the job?

I don't bother with flea mess anymore (although mine are indoor, the beach flea problem can be huge). I treated all carpets, floors, mattresses and furniture with borax. Sprinkle, leave for 24 hours and vacuum up. Takes about 2 weeks to completely kill the fleas (and with indoor/outdoor you might still need meds). It constipates the little blood suckers.

Front porch, but not all of them are socialized; skittishness breeds true as well as personability, so I need to try and literally man-handle them out of it, which requires catching them up and handling them when they're young, and I don't want to traumatize or injure them while doing so.
