Next up, Teavana's "Scarlet Cloud" white blend.

Label: "white mao feng tea, blackberry pieces, raspberry pieces, peach pieces, mint"

Mouth: HOT MINT TEA WITH A HINT OF BERRIES AND PEACH

I am seriously considering pouring this packet into a bowl and picking out all the goddamned mint by hand, because it's so overwhelming the first brew.

Sounds like you're drinking something meant for potpourri.

It looks like potpurri, actually, a lot.

as referenced in my previous tea posts, my usual steeping time tends towards five to ten minutes[1] as opposed to the 90-180 seconds suggested, because i am incessantly interrupted.

Maybe you'd prefer one Chinese way of brewing tea that I just learned
about this year. You place in way more tea than you normally need for
a cup, pour the boiling water over the leaves and steep for just steep
for ~10 seconds (more or less time to suit your tastes), and then pour
the tea into your cup to drink. You can reuse the leaves (adding a few
more seconds with each subsequent soak) until you find your cup of tea
is too bland.
