Gradually, more pictures of Saturday's race are appearing... they did get action shots going down one of the large dirt hills, sliding into the water:

Wow. Was the water cold? (and by cold I mean did it feel like it had been piped in directly from a glacial lake)

You look like you're enjoying yourself, if nothing else.

Nope. Then again, it's been 80+ here for two months, so cold water would have been a surprise. It wasn't bath-warm, but it was at least slightly refreshing.

I think it's mostly clean after three times through the washing machine.

Those are fairly funny, yes. [grin] Maybe this is why people run these things... the comedy action shots.

I am pretty much resigned to the fact that I'm funny-looking unless I'm being serious with my lifting, at which point, I just look weird and strained. *laugh*

Honestly, I was just happy to see any definition at all in the "cover before impact" shot.

Nah, it's not that *you* are funny looking, it's that *doing that* is inherently funny. I'm sure photos of me doing the same thing would have been just as funny! (And, hey, that's a good thing.)

I make the WORST faces during yoga. Torture-face! (I went to yoga today, can you tell?)

I did yoga foam rolling to try and work out calf/knee/shoulder/digestive issues.... so, on my back on the 6" hard foam roller, with my feet on the recliner, rolling myself back and forth, making vertebrae and muscles pop and twang. I'm fairly sure it looked ludicrous, but it seems to have helped some.

and, yes, sliding down a plastic sheet into an artificial mud puddle is inherently ridiculous :-)
