Poll: Car Insurance

Okay, because I'm bitching about it this week, and the lovely elixxir was kvetching about it not so long ago, and my dad was mulling the idea, I'll throw it out for general ponderation:

Five hundred bucks a year, a hundred dollar deductible, no-frills car insurance for arguably non-idiot drivers [non-idiot qualifications pending].

How many of you would go for something like that? Show of hands, please.

More Insurance Angst

[thanks to the advice y'all have given elsewhere]

I spent my lunch hour talking to people - Amica won't insure me out of hand [any moving violations w/i the last 3 years and you're deemed UNCLEAN! and no preferred-rate providers will touch you]. I talked to the nice people at the Allstate agency we share office space with, and she was able to give me a quote.

Two.Thousand.Dollars.for.Six.Months.
