Bush Says Stop Calling My Stupid Idea Stupid.

ETA: "To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." - Theodore Roosevelt

Because we all know that anyone who suggests that the White House's ideas and plans are not the best solution is UNAMERICAN and is HELPING THE TERRORISTS WIN.

Christ, this shit just gets deeper and dumber every time I look at it, no matter what aspect of policy he's fucking with. The fact that I had to talk down a very strident pro-reform asshat in the break room yesterday doesn't make me a whole lot more receptive to the notion (look, jackoff, I don't care if you were a Poli-Sci major, that doesn't mean you know shit about economics; how about you tell me what Bush's plan -is- and why it's an improvement, instead of just repeating rhetoric at ever-increasing volume about how the present system will be bankrupt in 40 years).

Frankly, I'm still trying to figure out how privatization of SocSec is different from making 401(k) contributions. I forsee a lot of Mutual Funds becoming popular nest egg options for the relatively risk-averse.

That doesn't strike me as a completely bad thing if that's the case, assuming the economy doesn't go in the shitter as a result of horrible economic policy and. . . uh. . . spending that supports continued growth (like, say, education *cough*). . .

Well, shit.

Would someone please remove the administration from the vest pocket of big business and shoot it, please?

Certain corporate entities could do with a fine dose of internal hemmoraging or the odd rupture, this is true. . .

Quotes always drive me to a source solid enough to prove or disprove. This one's a good one: http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/news/special_packages/iraq/5488635.htm

I'm going to decline registering to a KC newspaper out of pure laziness and vague notions of tinfoil-hat security/tracking 'shoes.

This crap has stuck in my craw since 9/11. I would rant but I'd just get a headache. In general just thinking out Bush and his administration gives me a headache and has since he got into the office. It's not as bad as it was. Now at least I can usually listen to his bull shit on the radio so I can keep track of the crap he's spewing.

Slightly Off Topic: In the last week or 2 there was an almost rant on Sound Money on NPR. Ripping on B's 'bankruptcy reform' bill. Wow, I was amazed at how strongly they spoke about it. Never heard em like that before. Rock On!

ALSO: If you like good crap on Bush and mainstream media, listen to On The Media on NPR.
