[livejournal.com profile] trystbat noted in passing the annual ritual of the week-before-Convergence freshening of plumage. I had a dream Saturday night that I'd dyed mine bright violet again, and, man, was I disappointed when I woke up yesterday.

Signs that we're getting on in years: I actually entertained the notion of -not- packing my Onion PSA shirt. This may well be the last C* for The Skirt, as well. The fabric's starting to give up (my last pair of camo cutoff shorts were destroyed in the Great Saturday Excavation).

Spin CD Status: Burned, Packed, and Shipping this afternoon (D & S, watch the skies)

Garden Status: Two new dragon palms, and eight unspecified orange and red things.
Budget Status: "I Hope They Pay Me This Week"
Job Status: Two other applicants, none remotely qualified, posting closed
VNV Concert Status: NOT AFRAID
Beard Status: Lunch O'Clock Shadow (five hours' worth of stubble)

This may well be the last C* for The Skirt, as well.

I do believe the above is THE third sign of the Apocalypse! I never ever thought I'd hear of, or see, the end of THE skirt!!!

it's got plenty of mileage; that sucker's more than a dozen years old now. the fabric, much like our livers, is just giving tired.

i do not believe, however, that it wants pie.

You already knew about the crack. ;) I thought you meant you were actually going to retire the poor thing. And most of the cruise is on foreign water, anyway. ;P
