Cures/treatments for food poisoning? Anyone?

K is laid up (to the point where she had to cal off work - those of you who know her will appreciate how lousy she has to feel to do so).

Right now, if she's not able to keep water or sips of gatorade down by evening, it may be time for a trip to the hospital or some such thing. *sigh*

(culprits are currently chocolate peanut butter bars or frozen pot roast, since we shared vietnamese for dinner last night and I'm fine, other than a slight head cold).

ack. my love to Ms. K.

Honestly, if she can't keep fluids down for any length of time, a call to the MD is likely in order, because dehydration is likely to be a bigger problem than the unpleasant process of ridding the body of the offending contaminant.

Other than that, I think you're supposed to avoid Pepto and such things because they slow the bacteria from leaving the body (trying not to be graphic here).

Other than ginger candy, ginger tea, ginger ale, and mint tea, I can't really think of anything else that might take the edge off.

Hope she's feeling better soon.
