Я сожалею, но я не говорю или читаю русский язык, таким образом я понятия не имею, что говорит Ваш журнал. Почему сделал Вас друг меня? (Пожалуйста ответьте использованию инструмента переводчика.)

[For the folks who have NFI what that's for, I recently noticed a lot of people who write only in Cyrillic have friended me; the translation of the above reads, "I'm sorry, I don't speak or read Russian. I cannot read your journal. Why did you friend me?)" Unfortunately, the translator breaks this somewhat - "I regret, but I do not speak or I read Russian, thus I have no concept that tells your magazine. Why the friend me has made you? (Please answer use of the tool of the translator.)"]

If you need a truly good translation, I have a few Russian-speaking friends on my flist who I could ask. ;)

I don't need a good translation, I just want to know what these people hope to get out of having me on their f-list.

I'm getting a rash of Russian friendings too, but I notice that after a couple of weeks, LJ or someone is pulling their journals. I smell a scam of some sort, but I'm not sure what the point is.

I've heard it's some sort of game, having to do with friending people who have odd interests.

But that information is deemed 95% unreliable.

I think "95% Unreliable" would make for an excellent LJ interest....

I get no Russian love. *whimper*

I got some of those over a year ago, and they're still on my FL. I suspected it was some kind of scam but when they do make their rare posts it's all in Cyrillic and sometimes accompanied by photos of what I'm guessing are paintings or something. Seemed harmless.

I actually asked a Russian friend of mine to look at the journals but I can't remember what she said.

A few on my FL seem to think they're Russian bots, and have been reporting them as such.

DON'T leave comments on their journals or friend them back. Many of them are bots that somehow manage to hijack accounts. I had a rash of them back in the first wave, last summer, and they all got TOSed.

Maybe, but I might have been drunk at the time. ;-)

I seem to be on the same list as you as I'm being added by many of the same ones.

There is a mix of same and different between the various accounts to lead me to believe they are bots of some sort. Headline from Column A, Text from Column B, Object from Column C, and so on.
