(Why, yes, this is going to be a continuing series)

Allow me to paraphrase for maximum offense: "Hypocrite, liar, and jackass wants to fuck over responsible people on the sly."

My letter to Martinez & Nelson, in a nutshell: "Senator, I urge you to speak out on the floor and oppose Sen. David Vitter’s Amendment No. 601 to the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009 (H.R.1105). Senator Vitter's attack on Planned Parenthood is both unconstitutional and unconscionable."

Letters sent. I doubt Brown would ever support that, but Voinovich probably would. He's on his way out, anyway, so I hear.

Hmmm....wonder what that said before filters? I have a few choice words for Senator Vitter's action plan to prove himself an honest to goodness dick. We should wrap his effigy in plastic an march on the mall.

That's actually a C&P of what I sent both Senators. The internal version was the one you'd probably find entertaining, but it wasn't committed to text.

These people are missing the Unconstitutional Forest for the Unconstitutional Trees. There is no constitutional authority for any sort of federal "family planning" funding, period.

I think it's the "separation of church of state" thing, at least as interpreted via prior art vis a vis the so-called "establishment clause"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Establishment_Clause_of_the_First_Amendment - see the "Financial Assistance" section of that page.

The deep and abiding irony and hypocrisy of David Vitter is that, were he to knock up one of the hookers he frequently hires, he wants to make it impossible for her to do anything about it except have his child out of wedlock. I love seeing Republican/Conservative "Morals and Ethics" on display.
