Maybe I'm being manipulated by CNN's phrasing and seeing machinations where none exist, but put like that, I have visions of the Bush Administration weaseling a way into remaining in power, if not indefinitely, than certainly longer than is democratically established.

1) Total number of books owned?
I have absolutely no idea. Going by linear shelf-feet, about fifty. At 1.5" per book, that's about 400 spines, which feels about right, or maybe a tad low. Add five linear feet worth of magazines if you're feeling pedantic, but it's mostly Maxim and a handful of Playboys & manga.
2) The last book I bought:
*thinks* I have absolutely no idea. It's been a little while, but I'm pretty sure I've picked up -something- since Dark Tower VII came out. . . ?
3. The last book I read:
Currently reading Year's Best SF 9 and The Stupidest Angel (Christopher Moore); last book I finished was Brave New World (last week).
4) Books that mean a lot to me:
The Long Walk - King (as Bachmann)
Fair New World - Lou Tafler
Cosmos - Carl Sagan
The Stand - King
Neuromancer - Gibson
5. Tag five people and have them fill out this poll:
I'm curious what
geeki,
cavalorn,
critus,
masque__, and
mightyman have to say on the subject.
