Muscle mass = increased metabolism = easier to lose weight. No you won't "get huge". This gets posted to every fitness forum I read at least daily.

I want to smack those people.

I have been *trying* to put on muscle, and have only managed about 10# worth (I've lost 15# overall, but gone down ~9% bodyfat; my lean body mass has gone from ~140 to ~150).

Me too, I'm currently on a dirty bulk, eating what the fuck ever and lifting progressively. We'll see come March what percentage of the weight I've gained is muscle when I go back on the diet.

You and me both. I got sick of the scale going nowhere during my last round of attempted cutting. If I can maintain my 2:1 or so ratio as I gain (or, hell, just stay around 13-15% BF), I'll call it good.
